Purchased an Orbea Gain from 50cycles. Bought a number of new cycles over the years from various dealers, have to say that 50cycles provided the best purchase experience to date. Whilst waiting for the bike to arrive from the manufacturer, decided to change the size ordered, no problem, they just sorted and the bike arrived at the time and date specified. Excellent.Clive Gill
So disappointed!! We wanted two electric bikes and we did some searching with other bike companies who were OK but non of them could give me information on the Kalkhoff bikes. A friend of mine insisted these are the best electric bikes and having tried theirs we were keen. We have bought two bikes worth 3000, not an everyday purchase for us but feel utterly disappointed and hope it will not turn out to be a mistake (My pedometer is already not working!) We were not given much of a choice to be honest. From sales to picking up the bikes today in two different stores the experience and has been very poor and not at all one I could recommend. I never write reviews but the service I have received from their head office and another branch in Shoreham has compelled me to warn others. DO NOT CONSIDER 50 CYCLES - find someone else who is keen to keep their clients happy and not just keen to take their money
While 50 Cycles have been a reliable company I'm afraid I can't say the same for the kalkoff bicycle that I bought from them. The bike is just 4 years old but Kalkoff can no longer supply a spare chain guard for it and cannot recommend an alternative. This is not the service you should expect after buying a 2000 e.bike. No spares after 4 years is totally unacceptable. Think Carefully before buying one!
Recently had a new motor fitted on my 2012 Kalkhoff Aguttu. Bike running so much better now. Also our van broke down whilst we were waiting for the work to be done and staff at 50 cycles and next door were extremely helpful in getting us up and running again..thank you Angela
I have always had great service since purchasing my first Kalkhoff from 50 Cycles in Loughborough back in 2013 when I moved South from the far North. It was a Sahel Urban Compact and in June 2014 we were in Bristol prior to the opening of their new premises in Bond StreetTo celebrate the occasion we could be seen doing a few circuits of the showroom in a blaze of glory, well actually orange, my jacket and the bike.Late in 2016 after many happy miles it was sadly time to say good bye, on impulse and with the opportunity to take early delivery of the 2017 model I had my second Kalhoff this time from Bristol which should have been the end of the story.Then in February I heard about the new Hercules Rob 8 folder, the added convenience of which meant I was hooked.A quick call to 50 Cycles and they pulled out all the stops to get me one in time for Easter. It arrived in bright lime green and we managed to be at the opening of their new store in Altrincham, an amazing place on three floorsMany thanks to the 50 Cycles Team
